Violent tiff over unflushed toilet lands 73-year-old Ocala woman behind bars

A 73-year-old Ocala woman who was upset over an unflushed toilet was jailed recently after allegedly hitting another woman in the head with a hard object.

The victim told Marion County sheriff’s deputies that Wilma King Nash had thrown something at her that felt like glass when it struck her. She refused medical treatment and didn’t have any visible injuries, a sheriff’s office report states.

After being read her rights, Nash told deputies that she was upset with the victim because she hadn’t flushed the toilet and had made a “smart comment.” Nash said that led her to pick up something off a nearby table and intentionally throw it at the victim, striking her in the head, the report says.

Nash was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with battery. She was released on her own recognizance and is due in court April 21 at 8 a.m., jail records show.
