Two men charged after 10-year-old girl struck by stray bullet in west Baltimore

Baltimore City Police have arrested two men in connection with the shooting of 10-year-old Kaelin Washington. She was hit by a stray bullet as she was walking home from a store in west Baltimore.

Police arrested 27-year-old Tirik Trotman on the morning of Tuesday, March 9th. He faces one charge of first-degree attempted murder and three counts of reckless endangerment.

Police also arrested 23-year-old Nathaniel Diggs in connection with this shooting. He was arrested on the day of the shooting and has been charged with discharging a firearm, reckless endangerment, and other handgun violations.

On February 27th, Washington was struck by a stray bullet when gunfire broke out in the 2300 block of North Fulton Avenue. She was walking home after buying a bag of Cheetos. Two other men were hurt in this shooting.
