Three men accused of binding up and killing Michigan singer Egypt Covington are now set for trial as new details have emerged in the case.
The Detroit News reported that Shandon Ray Groom, 28, and Timothy Moore, 34, and Shane Lamar Evans, 31, are all set to face trial in the killing of Egypt Covington, who was found shot to death in her Van Buren Township home in June 2017.
The three men will be arraigned on April 1 in Wayne County Circuit Court.
Groom, Moore and Evans all face murder and home invasion charges in Covington’s death.
Covington, 27, also worked as an account manager for a wine and beer importer/distributor. She was last seen alive the day before her body was discovered.
