An American woman was left feeling “freaked out” after she learned that what she thought was ‘fuzz’, which she grabbed just before going to bed , was in fact a snake – and that she had 18 of them slithering underneath her bed.
Trish Wilcher and her husband Max were getting ready to sleep in their Georgia home on Sunday night when she noticed that the aforementioned ‘fuzz’ started to move.
In an update to Facebook , she wrote that they had “turned the bedroom upside down” in search for the creatures.
“[We] found 17 babies and the momma. Up the street they have cleared some land that has been grown up for some time now, therefore we were the home spot for her litter!
“Still not confident that was the last of those things. Scared shirtless [sic] to be honest! No sleep tonight,” she said.
It has not been revealed which type of snakes entered the Wilchers’ property.
Other Facebook users later expressed their horror at the ordeal in the comments.
“I would have died. But glad you found them before they got in bed with you. Glad I have cats,” one wrote.
Another said something similar: “I would have died on the spot.”
“I would consider purchasing a mongoose,” suggested a third.
Ms Wilcher confirmed to WJBF that her husband used a claw device to put all of the reptiles in a linen bag, before setting them free.
I suspect both of them are now feeling a little ‘rattled’…
