A minivan crashed into a New York state Dunkin Donuts store after the driver suffered a seizure at the wheel, according to reports.
Local police said a woman lost control of the vehicle while driving in Syracuse on Sunday, according to syracuse.com.
Sergeant Matthew Malinowski, a Syracuse Police Department (SPD) spokesperson told the outlet the 25-year-old driver lost control of the minivan, which then crashed into a stationary car and several signs at the intersection of Bellevue and Velasko Roads.
The minivan then crashed into the Dunkin Donuts store at 400 Velasko Road, syracuse.com added.
No one was injured in the incident and officers did not make any arrests in connection with the crash, according to the outlet.
Photos taken from outside the store showed the minivan had smashed through a window near the entrance to the Dunkin Donuts facility.
Another image showed the vehicle had ended up close to the order counter and had left shattered glass and debris across the floor.
Booths had been ripped up off the ground and were found flipped over in another photo, which was submitted to syracuse.com.
Following the crash, a cordon was put in place and members of the Syracuse Fire Department (SFD) were seen just outside the business.
Newsweek has contacted the SFD, SPD and Dunkin Donuts for comment.
Accident at McDonald’s Drive-Thru
Earlier this year, a man was killed when he was pinned by his own vehicle while he drove through a McDonald’s drive-thru.
The driver had been paying for his order when he dropped his bank card outside the Vancouver restaurant, according to the city’s police department.
Surveillance footage showed the driver reaching down to pick up the card when the car rolled forward and collided with a “structural piece” of the drive-thru.
Members of his family, as well as some of the restaurant staff, witnessed the man’s death, according to a police statement.
A police spokesperson added in a news release: “Efforts were made by first responders to revive the man, but tragically, he died on scene.
“This is an absolutely heartbreaking scenario. Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of this man.”
Last year, a driver of a car smashed into a Starbucks storefront in Virginia in an incident that left one person in the hospital.
Dramatic photos showed a white Ford Escape that was almost completely inside the coffee shop, surrounded by shattered glass and window frames.
